Moraira is preparing for the return of its annual summer music festival, one of the Costa Blanca North’s most popular open-air cultural events, which will once again bring live performances to the seafront area beside Moraira Castle.

The festival, expected to take place during June, traditionally attracts residents, tourists and music lovers from across the Marina Alta region with a programme combining live concerts, Mediterranean scenery and summer nightlife in the heart of the coastal town. Set against the backdrop of Moraira Castle and the town’s waterfront promenade, the event has become known for its relaxed atmosphere and evening performances that continue late into the night during the start of the summer season.

Open-air concerts attract visitors every year

The music festival forms part of Moraira’s wider summer cultural calendar and has grown steadily in popularity in recent years, particularly among visitors looking for entertainment beyond the beach tourism typically associated with the Costa Blanca.

Concerts are usually held outdoors in the central seafront area, allowing audiences to enjoy live music with views across the Mediterranean coast.

The event regularly features a mix of musical styles and performers, helping create a broad appeal among different age groups and international visitors living in or travelling through the region.

Local businesses, restaurants and bars also benefit from the increased footfall generated by the festival during the early summer weeks.

Costa Blanca towns continue expanding cultural tourism

Events such as the Moraira Music Festival form part of a wider trend across Costa Blanca towns seeking to strengthen year-round tourism through cultural programming, gastronomy and live entertainment.

Municipalities throughout the Marina Alta increasingly use festivals and open-air events to attract visitors outside the peak holiday months while improving the cultural offering available to residents.

Moraira has become particularly known for combining tourism with smaller-scale cultural experiences that maintain the town’s relaxed coastal identity.

With summer now approaching, organisers are expected to release additional programme details and performance schedules in the coming weeks as preparations continue for another busy

Denia is preparing to welcome a new contemporary art exhibition this spring as artist Ramón Puig de la Bellacasa Alberola presents his latest collection, titled “Errancias”, at the Sala Gran of the Casa de Cultura.

The exhibition will officially open on Wednesday, May 28, at 7pm and will remain available to the public until June 13. Visitors will be able to explore the collection from Monday to Friday between 11am and 2pm and again from 5pm to 9pm. On Saturdays, the exhibition will open from 10am until 1.30pm.

Contemporary art arrives at Casa de Cultura

Organisers say “Errancias” will feature a selection of works exploring themes connected to movement, reflection and personal interpretation through contemporary artistic expression.

The exhibition is expected to offer visitors an immersive and thought-provoking experience, with the artist using different visual approaches to encourage emotional and personal responses from the audience.

Casa de Cultura has become one of Denia’s key cultural spaces, regularly hosting exhibitions, theatre performances, concerts and community events throughout the year. The venue continues to attract both local artists and touring exhibitions as the city strengthens its reputation as an important cultural hub in the Marina Alta region.

Denia expands its cultural programme

Local authorities say exhibitions such as “Errancias” form part of a wider effort to support regional artists while expanding Denia’s cultural calendar for both residents and visitors.

In recent years, the city has significantly increased its programme of spring and summer cultural activities, with exhibitions, live music events and artistic performances taking place across multiple venues throughout the municipality.

The initiative also reflects growing interest in cultural tourism across the Costa Blanca, where municipalities are increasingly combining traditional tourism with art, gastronomy and community-focused events to attract visitors outside the peak summer season.
