Alec Baldwin says his “heart is broken” after fatal shooting incident

Alec Baldwin has spoken for the first time about the tragic shooting incident that occurred on the set of his latest film ‘Rust’. The 63-year-old renowned actor took to Twitter twice to convey his feelings about what had happened.

“There are no words to convey my shock and sadness regarding the tragic accident that took the life of Halyna Hutchins, a wife, mother, and deeply admired colleague of ours. I’m fully cooperating with the police investigation to address how this tragedy occurred, and I am in touch with her husband, offering my support to him and his family”,

Adding, “My heart is broken for her husband, their son, and all who knew and loved Halyna”.

The victim of the accident was 42-year-old Halyna Hutchins, who was the Director of Photography on the set located on a Western-style ranch in Santa Fe, New Mexico. She was a mother of two children. Hutchins was airlifted to hospital immediately after the accident on Thursday evening, October 21, but was pronounced dead.

Joel Souza, the film’s 48-year-old director was also injured in the incident. He was taken to hospital on Thursday evening but later released. One single shot from a prop gun that Baldwin fired, somehow managed to hit both people.

Sante Fe police took Baldwin in for questioning, but he was later released without any charges. Mystery still surrounds the shooting, because, for authenticity purposes, the prop guns are always only loaded with either blanks or dummy bullets. There has been no confirmation whether a live bullet somehow found its way into the gun’s chamber, as reported by dailymail.co.uk.

Lewis Hamilton risks jail time for imposing a vegan diet on his dog, Roscoe.

Lewis Hamilton could face jail time for imposing a vegan diet on his English Bulldog, Roscoe.

The seven-time world champion maintains an unconventional pace of life, not just within the parameters of a Formula 1 driver, that affects all aspects from his clothes to dealing with those closest to him.

One of the people he spends the most time with is his dog, Roscoe.

Already a celebrity (he even has his own pass to enter the paddock) on social networks with over 413,000 followers on instagram, this English bulldog accompanies his owner in his daily chores when he is away from the wheel of the Mercedes.

He goes for a run with him, keeps him company while he trains at home, keeps him company… and also maintains the same diet.

Hamilton is a declared vegan and has even opened a chain of hamburgers where nothing of animal origin is served.

Beyond the (brief) business success of this project, he also asks everyone around him to imitate his way of eating, from his personal trainer and advisor Angela Cullen to Roscoe himself.

The association ‘The Blue Cross‘ has accused Hamilton of violating the Animal Welfare Act, in force in the United Kingdom since 2006, by Roscoe’s vegan diet.

The absence of meat in the dog’s diet contravenes these regulations, since the British Veterinary Association has warned of the legal consequences that it can lead to.

“If your personal belief system means that you do not want to eat any animal protein, that’s fine, but that diet is not designed to meet the welfare standards of your pet,” explains Daniella Dos Santos  President of the Association.

In the event of a formal complaint, Hamilton will have to go to trial where he would face a fine of £20,000 pounds and even a jail term of up to 51 weeks, in addition to having custody of the animal removed for possible abuse.

Johnny Marr, former Smiths guitarist, says British musicians are losing work due to Brexit.

Music icon Johnny Marr, former Smiths guitarist, says British musicians are losing work due to Brexit.

Marr says that the “administration” that has come into force because of Brexit has left artists frustrated.

Marr said: “Brexit for musicians has been an absolute catastrophe in so many ways”.

“For example, if there are a bunch of festivals in Germany and Belgium and France and Holland, the people who would otherwise have been inviting British bands to come and earn money on all kinds of levels – DJs, all kinds of different groups – they have to go through so much paperwork and administration and expense.

“They’re now ignoring those young bands, particularly, who they might have taken a chance on and just saying, ‘alright well we’ll put a DJ from Munich on, we’ll put an act on from Bruges’ or whatever”, he explained.

“It’s literally taking the work away from British musicians”, he added.

The guitarist and co-songwriter of eighties band The Smiths, has since created a solo career for himself and recently on the soundtrack of the new James Bond film, No Time to Die.

He is now releasing a solo record and album.

Marr spoke to ITV News and said that playing the guitar in the new Bond film, following a request from composer Hans Zimmer, was “kind of an amazing thing.”

“A lot of people who started playing the guitar, certainly if you grew up in the UK anytime since the 60s, one of the first things you learn to play is the Bond theme because it’s so simple”, Marr said.

“It was a real career highlight I have to say”, he added.
