Salobreña welcomes visitors eager to experience its conversion into an expansive outdoor art space as part of Artepeazos 2026. Murals, installations and sculptures will occupy facades, plazas and quiet corners, providing Mediterranean views from the Costa de Granada.
Visitors wandering the streets will receive the chance to observe artists actively creating works in public locations. Interactions allow insight into creative methods almost from the beginning while conversations happen as forms develop.
Artepeazos functions as one distinctive cultural gathering in a coastal town. A combination of street art, modern creations and historic elements occurs directly in the centre of Salobreña.
Installations receive design to incorporate town features such as tight lanes, painted walls and public zones that form essential parts of the finished pieces. Walks through the area lead to unexpected encounters with new artworks in a natural manner without set paths to follow.
Artists bring distinct perspectives to the event
Creators contribute styles and expressions that differ greatly from one another. Shared traits centre on capacity to modify environments and produce memorable effects. Abdulkadir Hocaoglu, Jose Manuel Trigueros, Manolo Mesa, Tabata Osborne, Miguel Fernandez Hierro, Zabala, Peyo, Arquicostura Studio, Sergio Delicado and Taquen number among the participants. Examination of individual backgrounds and past projects delivers value for enthusiasts of this art form.
Real-time creation sets Artepeazos apart
Observation of works progressing on site delivers an intimate and dynamic alternative to conventional displays. Residents and guests notice gradual changes in the townscape over time. Such direct involvement creates stronger connections between the art, its makers and those who view it. People find this approach refreshing because the art integrates so closely with everyday surroundings in the town.
