Children lead the way in heartwarming Easter parade
María Inmaculada school transformed Aguilas town centre with its fourth annual “La Pasión de los niños” parade. Held in the days leading up to Holy Week, the event gave residents and visitors a chance to see young pupils bring local Easter traditions to life.
Almost 300 pupils take part in procession
Around 300 children participated in the parade, taking on roles such as miniature nazarenos, penitents, manolas, and musical groups. Even local civic and church figures were represented, all carefully organised and presented through the pupils’ creativity. The procession moved through the central streets, drawing crowds who applauded the students’ efforts.
This year saw the introduction of a new element: the Paso del Resucitado. Its first appearance added fresh excitement to the event and was warmly received by spectators. Families and neighbours praised the children’s dedication and attention to detail, noting how the new Paso complemented the existing procession while maintaining the high standards of previous editions.

For such high-quality food served against such a beautiful backdrop, the prices are incredibly reasonable. Traditional tapas like Abondigas or Patas Bravas are available for €1.80, while more luxurious dishes like Ratatouille, Red Tuna or Pork Tenderloin Skewers range from €2 to €3.80.

Boracay beach is also a popular spot for paella. Choose between the mixed or the seafood paella and wait as patiently as you can until it is served to you in a giant flat pan. In addition to paella, the menu boasts an abundance of delicious rice dishes.
This is an ideal dish for sharing, especially considering it’s served to a minimum of two people. Like with every Boracay dish, the portion sizes are generous so there will be plenty to go around.
