Unforgettable zip wire challenge in September powers ADSG Dementia Support across Malaga region

ADSG (the Alzheimer’s and dementia support group) is about to launch a truly unforgettable charity event this September designed to raise the vital cash needed to keep its important work going for people affected by Alzheimer’s and dementia along the Costa del Sol and in the Malaga area. And as they keep discovering, it is a condition that is much more common than many of us care to accept.

Regular support meetings enter a summer break after the final session this Monday. Sessions restart on September 7, giving carers and those living with memory concerns a short pause before the group returns to full activity.

Zip wire day takes place September 26

Zip wire day is set for September 26 at the centre just outside Alhaurin de la Torre. Organisers have booked 25 places and a handful remain open. Participants will tackle the long, high-speed course while raising sponsorship that directly funds ADSG’s free meetings, advice and practical help for families across the region. And for those who have not dared to try it out yet, Sunview Park Adventure is exhilarating and very fun!

Sponsorship drive still open

People taking part need to gather as much sponsorship as possible. Official sponsorship forms and full event details are available on request. Contact the team via WhatsApp on 610 774 408 to secure a remaining place or to support a participant already registered.

Funds for ongoing community support

Money raised will go towards sustaining ADSG’s regular gatherings, volunteer network and information service that currently reach both the coast and inland towns. Every sponsored metre helps carers share experiences, people living with dementia stay active, and families receive free guidance when memory problems first appear.

Anyone worried about memory changes, supporting a loved one, or simply wanting to help can join the effort. Places are limited, so early contact is recommended. WhatsApp 610 774 408 remains the direct line for forms, questions and last-minute bookings ahead of the 26 September challenge.
