Los Montesinos is encouraging residents and visitors to stay active this summer with the return of its popular programme of free outdoor fitness sessions. Running throughout August, the initiative offers a variety of activities for all ages and abilities, combining exercise, wellbeing and community participation in outdoor settings across the municipality.

Summer fitness programme returns

Free outdoor fitness sessions will return to Los Montesinos this August.

The initiative offers residents and visitors the chance to take part in a range of free activities throughout the month.

Most sessions will take place in the Town Hall Square on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 8.30pm, with two guided hiking routes also included in the programme.

Sports councillor Ana Belen Juarez said the aim is to encourage people to stay active during the summer by providing free activities suitable for all ages and fitness levels. She also thanked the town’s sports centres for supporting the programme, which has become a popular annual event.

Activities for all ages and abilities

This year’s activities include functional training, yoga, outdoor cycling, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and an introduction to taekwondo. Two guided walks will also be held, including a night hike ending at the municipal swimming pool and a route to Cruz de la Muela.

Taking part this year are Gym Ballesta, Efete, Absana, Deisa Wellness Center, Draco Kwan, Academia Giant, Buen Cuerpo and Keep Fit.

All activities are free, but advance registration is required. Anyone wishing to take part can register at Los Montesinos Town Hall or call (+34) 966 721 087 to reserve a place.

The full programme begins on Tuesday, 4 August, and runs until Friday, 29 August.

The initiative has become a regular feature of the summer calendar in Los Montesinos, offering an enjoyable way for people to improve their fitness while making the most of the warm evening weather. Organisers are encouraging participants to book early and take advantage of the wide range of free activities on offer throughout the month.
