In June, Mr Tayto took to social media to announce a limited-edition Candy Floss flavoured crisp, available only for summer 2026. It’s the taste of a fun-fair in a bag, perfect for those with a sweet tooth and experimental streak.

Each year, shoppers eagerly look forward to finding out what Mr. Tayto has cooked up exclusively for the summer. While the one-of-a-kind flavours can be a fun novelty, the Candy-Floss crisp is a push too far even for the most die-hard Mr. Tayto lovers.
Since the flavours release, consumer response has been mixed. While some enjoyed the peculiar taste, others described it not as sweet and sugary but as “a burnt candied sugar”, making them question if they’d bought a bad batch.
