La política española tuvo una dosis concentrada de León XIV en cuestión de horas, y casi se puede decir que aún la está asimilando, porque apenas ha habido reacciones, solo se comenta en los despachos. En su primer día en Madrid, a donde llegó a las 10.30 de la mañana del sábado, el Papa desplegó sin dilación un arsenal de ideas y argumentos que dejan pocas dudas sobre lo que piensa. Pese a su carácter tímido, en la solemnidad del Palacio Real y con todas las autoridades y la clase política delante, ejerció sin reparos del líder moral que todos dicen que es, para que cada cual se aplique el cuento.
