International Theatre Studio members came together to give support for a vital cause at one of their popular outdoor gatherings. Funds collected totalled €1,740 and were given over last week to EMAUS Obra de Amor in Estepona through ticket sales, donations and a lively and fun raffle draw.
The Lark in the Park event generates vital support
The theatre group held the successful fundraiser in Benahavis on Sunday, June 7. Spectators enjoyed performances and activities that combined entertainment with heartfelt generosity. Proceeds now will go directly towards helping families facing ever tightening budgets because of rising living costs.
Representatives of International Theatre Studio hand over funds in person
ITS Lark Producer Fiona Poole joined Lark Director Kate Jackson to present the cheque. Their gesture reflects years of commitment by the theatre group to local needs on the Costa del Sol.
EMAUS President, Ildefonso Abril Tirado happily received the donation with warm thanks. He applauded International Theatre Studio for selecting his organisation as the beneficiary and extended gratitude to every donor and all who participated in the raffle. This contribution will ease pressure on many households where everyday expenses stretch resources thin.
EMAUS provides essential daily assistance
Volunteers at the Estepona-based charity operate social kitchens that deliver meals and create welcoming spaces for people in difficulty. Their work focuses on practical help such as food parcels and community meals that sustain vulnerable residents across the area.
Theatre fans continue to give back
International Theatre Studio maintains a strong tradition of supporting good causes while delivering quality English-language productions. Membership offers discounted tickets and opportunities to join shows or assist backstage.
Further donations are welcome from the public
