Marbella Arena will come alive on Saturday, June 27, when Craig David hits the stage, bringing back his popular TS5 show to the Costa del Sol for one of the summer’s biggest party nights. Tickets have been quickly snapped up since the announcement, with now only the final few remaining. For anyone living on the coast who grew up listening to his incredibly catchy early‑2000s hits or anyone who has discovered TS5 more recently, this is one not to be missed.

Dust off your denim skirt and chunky belt combo and get ready for a night of great music and talent. Doors open at 8pm, with the event running into the early hours. His famous TS5 show will have you caught up in perfect vocals, top class DJing and Craig David’s signature R&B and garage sound. Fans can enjoy singing and dancing to a mix of classics and newer material, with tracks such as 7 Days, Fill Me In, Walking Away, Re‑Rewind and Nothing Like This. The TS5 format has grown from small intimate house parties to a global touring act, and Marbella Arena’s fits perfectly for this summer night performance.

Ticket prices and booking

Standard tickets start from €61.60, with several authorised platforms listing prices in the €61–€62 range. VIP and table packages are available through official promoters, though these vary depending on group size and configuration. All in the western Costa del Sol receive an open invitation to a free charity concert organised by the Love to Sing Choir on Thursday, June 26. The event takes place at the Carlos Cano Amphitheatre in Parque Rosario, Casares Costa, starting at 7pm. Funds raised will go to support the MolBehTaa Charity and its project to build a children’s school in Gambia. Casares Town Hall is backing the plan, which also encourages community participation through the most wonderful music.

Event information

People can attend without charge and enjoy an evening of live music in the outdoor amphitheatre. Arrivals should begin early to make sure they get the best seats and soak up the atmosphere before the performance begins. After the concert ends, Café Jardines del Rosario will stay open for tapas and drinks. Thirty per cent of sales from food and beverages at the café will go straight to the fund for the school construction project in Gambia. This arrangement allows attendees to extend their evening while contributing even further to such a good cause.

Guest performer

Singer and guitarist Gary Fearon is joining the evening’s entertainment roster with an acoustic set. His appearance adds variety to the evening and draws extra interest from music fans across the Costa del Sol. The Love to Sing Choir will perform a selection of popular songs during the main part of the show. Organisers expect strong turnout from both local residents and international visitors.

Charity impact

Event organisers stress that every contribution counts toward completing the new school building. Community gatherings like this one connect people in Casares Costa with wider efforts to improve lives abroad through practical support.

Choir background and how to get involved

Love to Sing brings together singers from across the Costa del Sol. The group uses music and performances to back charitable projects while building friendships and community ties. Weekly rehearsals prepare members for public shows that often raise money for local and international causes. New singers with experience are still welcome to contact the group.

Denise handles enquiries on +34 664 01 26 39 or via lovetosingchoirmanilva@gmail.com. Updates also appear on the Facebook page under Love to Sing CDS. Attendance at the Casares Costa concert offers a direct way to enjoy live music and community togetherness as well as assist an education project at the same time.

ADIMI, the Asociación de Discapacitados de Mijas, held its first-ever fundraising charity summer fete on Saturday, June 20, at the association centre tucked away in Las Lagunas de Mijas.

Volunteers worked hard to create a welcoming day of activities that supports the vital work carried out at the centre.

ADIMI supports disabled people across Mijas.

ADIMI provides social services and practical assistance to disabled residents in the Mijas area. Community donations and events are essential in helping cover the costs of running these essential programmes and maintaining facilities.

Wide range of activities for all ages

An extensive craft fair featured numerous stalls with handmade items, games and competitions suitable for families. A popular raffle offered many attractive prizes to participants throughout the afternoon.

Food options proved popular thanks to Felix from Rousse, who brought his new food truck to the venue to show off. Visitors enjoyed tasty meals while soaking up the entertainment.

Jazzy performances by Costa del Sol favourite Marlene (Ronny Scotts, London) delighted the crowd. Kenny Dee’s Elvis tribute act added classic hits to the lineup. La Trilla Folk performed traditional Andalusian and Mijas folk music that resonated with many attendees.

A dedicated children’s space kept younger visitors engaged with various activities.

On-site diabetes testing and guidance

While not a Lions’ event, members from the La Cala Lions diabetes group set up a station to carry out glucose tests for attendees. Group members also provided useful advice on managing the condition to those who sought information.

Council figures welcome large expat turnout

Mario Bravo from the Mijas Foreigners’ Department and Katja Thirion attended on behalf of the local council. They greeted many of the expats who joined to show their support for the cause.

All proceeds go towards centre maintenance

Money raised during the fete will fund the upkeep of services offered by ADIMI. ADIMI continues to seek public backing to continue its vital role in the community.

Roger Wedge, a long-time supporter of ADIMI, helped organise the day with the hope of bringing more people to the centre and explaining its work. Strong turnout has led to fresh discussions about using the venue for further fundraising activities, such as rumours of a possible Christmas fete.

Mijas town hall and ADIMI both invited residents and visitors to join future similar occasions that mix leisure with meaningful community support. Fundraising reached €1,100 plus some free dental care vouchers.
