Tickets are almost sold out for one of Benidorm’s most outrageous bingo parties, with Anyway Up Bingo returning to the resort for its annual November Fiestas Edition. The popular event will take over the legendary Talk of the Town bar for two afternoons on Tuesday, November 10 and Wednesday, November 11, with organisers urging people to secure their tickets before they disappear.

Tickets selling fast for music and comedy bingo show in Benidorm

Now in its third year, the November Fiestas Edition promises an afternoon that is far removed from traditional bingo. The event combines music, comedy, bingo and party anthems, with plenty of audience participation and entertainment throughout. Paired with the venue, Talk of the Town, one of Benidorm’s oldest cabaret show bars, the show is certain to be an unmissable event in the Costa Blanca hotspot…and tickets are selling fast.

Both days of the event run from 1:30pm until 6:00pm at Talk of the Town and feature Jamie Discos, Jimi Webb and Mavis Davies. At the event, guests can expect plenty of singalongs, comedy, dancing and bingo, alongside the party atmosphere that has become a feature of Anyway Up Bingo events.

With the promise of music, comedy, bingo, and banter, the event is for anyone looking for something a little different, whether attending with friends, celebrating a special occasion or simply wanting to join one of Benidorm’s lively daytime parties.

Interested visitors urged to book as soon as possible

Only the last remaining tickets are available for both dates, meaning anyone hoping to attend is strongly encouraged to book as soon as possible.

Anyway Up Bingo’s team, including Jimi, Jamie and Mavis, will be returning to Benidorm following their latest UK tour with Crissy Rock. With these two dates already selling rapidly, organisers are urging bingo fans, curious newcomers, and partygoers not to leave it too late if they want to join the November fiesta madness.

“Jimi, Jamie and Mavis are counting down the days until we’re all back together, causing just the right amount of chaos!” stated the organisers in a Facebook post about the event.

Jávea opens historic lighthouse to the public with a new whale-watching viewpoint

A long-closed coastal landmark in Jávea has opened its gates to the public, giving visitors a new way to explore the area’s natural beauty, discover its maritime history and look out for dolphins and whales across the Mediterranean.

The outdoor grounds of the Cap de Sant Antoni lighthouse officially opened on Thursday, October 8, following improvements designed to transform the historic site into an accessible visitor attraction. Entry is free, with access available around the clock and no booking required.

The opening comes ahead of the October 9 regional holiday in the Valencian Community, offering residents and visitors a new place to explore during the long weekend.

Four stops reveal the secrets of the lighthouse

Visitors can follow a four-part route combining native plant life, local history and spectacular coastal views.

The first section is a botanical trail featuring 14 native plant species, showcasing the biodiversity of the surrounding landscape. Information boards explain the plants, while QR codes allow visitors to access additional details and learn more about the species growing in the area.

The route then leads towards the lighthouse building itself, where a display explores its history and that of the former post office building nearby.

The third stop offers panoramic views across Jávea Bay, alongside information about the Cap de Sant Antoni Marine Reserve and its ecological importance.

The final section is designed for wildlife enthusiasts. A dedicated viewpoint has been equipped with free-to-use binoculars, allowing visitors to scan the sea for dolphins, whales and seabirds.

On particularly clear days, the island of Ibiza can also be seen from the site, adding another highlight to the coastal panorama.

A new way to enjoy Jávea’s natural beauty

Mayor Rosa Cardona welcomed the opening, explaining that the council had wanted to make the area accessible to the public for some time.

She said the municipality had many beautiful corners along its coastline, from Cap de Sant Antoni to Cap de la Nau, and that this particular location deserved to be enjoyed by residents and visitors alike.

Preparatory work included improvements and repainting around the grounds, alongside measures to highlight the site’s natural and historical features.

The project has involved collaboration with Montgó Natural Park, which contributed to the botanical route, and the Oceanogràfic Foundation, which supported the educational information about the area’s marine and terrestrial wildlife.

Cardona described the new viewpoint as a place where people could relax, enjoy the surroundings and observe nature.

The grounds also have video surveillance, and the council hopes the attraction will encourage visitors to appreciate the area’s environmental value as well as its scenery.

A historic site opens after more than 170 years

The lighthouse began operating in 1855, and its grounds had remained largely closed to public access for more than 170 years.

The new arrangement marks a significant change, allowing people to explore the renovated outdoor area for the first time.

However, the opening does not extend to the lighthouse building itself or its tower, which remain closed to visitors. The site falls under port authority jurisdiction, with Jávea granted use of the exterior grounds.

The project gives the municipality another attraction focused on nature and heritage, while providing a new vantage point from which to appreciate the Mediterranean coastline.

For anyone planning a visit, the grounds are free to enter, open 24 hours a day and do not require advance reservations.

A creative and feel-good charity event is set to take place in El Campello this October, offering locals and visitors the chance to enjoy a relaxed morning while supporting a meaningful cause. Organised by animal rescue association Las Reinas del Biberón, the “Taller de pulseras solidario”, or Charity Bracelet Workshop, will be held on Saturday, October 10, from 12:00pm to 2:00pm at La Casa de las Reinas, the group’s headquarters in the Costa Blanca town.

A creative charity event with a purpose

The workshop will invite participants to design and create their own bracelets in a friendly, social setting, making it an ideal activity for friends, families or anyone looking to try something different. No previous experience is needed, and all materials will be provided as part of the ticket price of €20 per person.

Design bracelets while supporting rescue animals

The price of entry includes not only the fun-filled bracelet-making session, but also a small “picaeta”, or appetiser, and the incredible opportunity to spend time with the organisation’s adorable rescued puppies. During the workshop, participants can get to know the furry friends at the shelter, connect with them, and possibly find a new member of their family.

What is Las Reinas del Biberón?

Las Reinas del Biberón is a non-profit organisation dedicated to rescuing and caring for vulnerable animals on the Costa Blanca, particularly newborn puppies, nursing mothers and those in need of foster homes. Funds raised through events like this go towards essential veterinary care, food and daily upkeep for the animals.

The workshop forms part of a wider programme of creative and community-focused activities regularly hosted at La Casa de las Reinas, a space designed to bring people together while raising awareness of animal welfare. The organisation often hosts weekly events, including charity breakfasts and pilates sessions, all in benefit of the sweet animals that call the shelter home.

How to join the workshop: early booking advised

With limited places available, organisers are encouraging early booking to secure a spot through the organisation’s official website, lasreinasdelbiberon.org. For those in El Campello and surrounding areas, it is an opportunity to enjoy a simple but rewarding experience: leaving not only with a handmade bracelet, but also with the knowledge that participation in the workshop directly supports animals in need.
