Do you fancy taking to the stage and showing Rojales what you can do? The town is looking for performers for its XI Night of Stars Festival, giving locals the chance to dress up, perform and become their favourite music stars for the night.

Anyone can enter, either alone or as part of a group of up to 15 people. The idea is to imitate a well-known singer or group as realistically as possible, performing in playback and bringing plenty of personality to the stage.

Become your favourite music star

Participants will have the opportunity to recreate the appearance and performance style of their chosen artist, making costumes, choreography and stage presence all part of the fun.

Each performance can last up to four and a half minutes, and entrants can put forward a maximum of two possible acts featuring different artists.

The festival gives local performers the chance to get creative and entertain the audience, whether they choose to recreate a famous solo singer, pop group or another well-known music act.

There are only 24 performance places available, which will be allocated in order of registration, so anyone keen to join the fun should get their entry in early.

Registration open until September 2

Registration remains open until September 2 at the Information Office inside Rojales Town Hall.

Entrants need to provide their contact details, chosen artist and song, performance length and number of people taking part, together with the completed registration form, inside a sealed envelope.

Anyone considering two different performances can include both options, provided they feature different artists. With places limited, registering early will give performers the best chance of securing a spot in the festival.

Under-18s can also take part but will need permission from their parents or legal guardians before entering.

The event offers friends, families and individuals the chance to put together their own tribute performance and experience what it is like to step into the spotlight in front of a local audience.

Rojales Town Hall is at Calle Malecon de la Encanta, 1, 03170 Rojales, where completed registrations can be submitted before the September 2 deadline.

With just 24 places available, budding performers hoping for their moment in the spotlight are being encouraged to choose their song, prepare their costumes and get their entries in as soon as possible.
