As the sun sets over the charming Costa Blanca town of Javea, the energy along the coastline begins to shift. Every Tuesday night, partygoers gather at Achill Bar & Dancefloor for one of the most vibrant weekly residencies in the area: London Calling, featuring the musical talent of DJ Jack Ward.

London Calling brings UK-inspired beats and an energetic vibe to the Arenal

Taking place right on the bustling Paseo Amanecer, directly along the shores of Arenal Beach, Achill offers a striking location where Mediterranean views meet modern nightlife culture. The recurring Tuesday night residency brings an energetic fusion of house, dance, and UK-inspired beats, creating a lively atmosphere that keeps the dancefloor packed with residents and visitors late into the night.

Curated soundtrack and sea breezes on the open-air terrace

DJ Jack Ward takes the decks to deliver a carefully selected soundtrack designed to keep the crowd moving. His London Calling set captures an electric, high-energy vibe that bridges international party sounds with the laid-back charm of Javea’s coastal strip. It has established itself as a go-to mid-week destination for international visitors, young professionals, and local music enthusiasts looking to dance beside the Mediterranean Sea.

The venue itself has an open-air atmosphere with modern, stylish interiors and an outdoor terrace that captures the cooling sea breeze. Guests can sip on delicious cocktails, socialise under the open sky, or head straight to the dancefloor as the music ramps up.

Plan your night out at Achill Bar & Dancefloor: London Calling, every Tuesday

The event kicks off weekly at 10:00pm every Tuesday night, making it the ultimate destination for night owls looking to extend their summer vibes well past midnight. Whether you are aiming to dance until the early hours or simply take in the beachfront energy with a drink in hand, London Calling at Achill delivers an unforgettable midweek nightlife experience in Javea.

Benidorm has a new message for everyone heading to the beach

Visitors heading down to the sand in Benidorm are now being greeted by a series of messages encouraging them to enjoy the coastline responsibly and help protect the resort’s beaches.

Benidorm Town Hall has launched a new awareness campaign across around 100 beach access walkways, using simple messages focused on sustainability, responsible behaviour and peaceful coexistence.

The initiative is aimed at both tourists and local residents, with the messages displayed in Spanish and English to ensure they reach as many beach users as possible.

Messages along the way to the sand

Rather than placing the campaign only on information boards, Benidorm has taken the messages directly to the routes used by people arriving at the beach.

Five different messages have been selected, covering a range of everyday actions that can help protect the city’s coastline and improve the experience for everyone.

Visitors are reminded to look after the places they visit, use water responsibly and avoid excessive noise. Another message focuses on keeping the beaches clean and encouraging people to take responsibility for their waste.

The campaign also highlights the benefits of Benidorm’s coastal environment, including the simple pleasure of enjoying the sea air.

A shared responsibility

The campaign is based around the idea that protecting Benidorm’s beaches is not solely the responsibility of the authorities.

Mónica Gómez, Benidorm’s councillor for Beaches and Environment, said the initiative aims to encourage people to recognise how small actions can contribute to maintaining the quality of the city’s beaches.

The messages are deliberately short and easy to understand, making them suitable for the large number of international visitors who use Benidorm’s coastline throughout the year.

The council sees responsible behaviour as an important part of maintaining the resort as an attractive destination while also protecting its natural environment.

Benidorm’s sustainability push

The beach campaign forms part of Benidorm’s wider efforts to promote sustainable tourism and responsible use of public spaces.

The city is also a finalist for the European Green Leaf 2028 award, reflecting its continued focus on environmental initiatives.

With Benidorm’s beaches attracting huge numbers of visitors, the council hopes the new messages will encourage everyone, from holidaymakers to residents, to play their part in keeping the coastline clean, peaceful and enjoyable.
